Don’t stop now…

With just over a month to go, there's still time to get involved in this year’s Ops Challenge

With just over a month left to go until the end of this year’s Ops Fundraising Challenge, now is the time to get your last few fundraising ideas off the ground and your team storming into the lead.

We know that fundraising can be tricky, but our friends at Action for Children have come up trumps with the below quick wins to help support your sites and get colleagues donating just £2 per head in aid of the Royal Mail-funded, Blues Programme, the internationally-acclaimed blues-busting course for teenagers, aged 13-16.

Wimbledon sweepstake

Why not up the stakes with our Wimbledon sweepstake? Running from the start of July, this sweepstake comes in perfect time for the Ops Fundraising Challenge! Ask for £2 to take part, with half the pot going to Action for Children, and the other half to the winner. Email royalmail@actionforchildren.org.uk to get your sweepstake form.

Bake sale

Sometimes the simplest fundraisers are the best! Simply ask your colleagues to bring in some baked goods (shop-bought still counts!) and sell them in your break times. A sweet tooth might not appeal to all first thing in the morning, but sausage rolls are always popular! Keep an eye out for a fine example on next week’s RMtv.

Tuck shop

Another easy one – set up a tuck shop with drinks, crisps and sweets. Make sure to keep it stocked up and the pounds will come rolling in.

Feeling lucky?

Order our giant scratch cards by emailing royalmail@actionforchildren.org.uk and try your luck! Pay just £2 to play and pick one of the 50 icons to be in with a chance of winning £50.

Car air fresheners

Our brilliant blue post box is making a return. At just £2 per air freshener, this is the perfect way to make your car or van smell great, while also hitting your Ops Challenge targets! Air fresheners can be ordered in boxes of 50 by emailing royalmail@actionforchildren.org.uk.

Remember, without your support, the Blues Programme would not be possible. Every penny you raise for Action for Children can make a huge difference to the mental health of young people across the UK. Thank you for your support.
