Byte Night 2019

Join our charity partner, Action for Children for Byte Night on 4 October 2019 to raise awareness of youth homelessness in the UK.
Byte Night is the UK’s largest national corporate sleepout event and the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded individuals who want to make a difference, raising vital funds for Action for Children to prevent youth homelessness.
Since its inception in 1998, Byte Night has raised more than £12 million helping Action for Children do what’s right, what’s needed and what works for more than 301,000 children, young people and families in the UK every year.
In particular, Byte Night works to support some of the 83,000 young people, who are made homeless in the UK every year through no fault of their own.
Last year, around 1,500 employees throughout the technology and business community slept out across the UK as part of the 21st year of Byte Night, including 46 Royal Mail colleagues, raising more than £1.1million towards Action for Children’s work to find the root causes of homelessness and provide intensive support to help families tackle their issues and stay together.
‘We know that one in four homeless young people have been diagnosed with a mental health condition,’ the charity said. ‘Through Royal Mail’s support for events like Byte Night, we can support thousands of young people with our pioneering mental health initiative; the Blues Programme.’
