18 days and counting...

Our Royal Mail Summer of Prides are nearly upon us. Yes, it’s that time of year again when we remind colleagues of the bumper schedule of forthcoming Pride events coming your way over the next few months.
Pride in London, the UK’s largest and most diverse Pride, takes place on Saturday 6 July, closely followed by Black Pride on Sunday 7 July. If you haven’t already booked your place to join colleagues on the day to walk, or better still, dance your way through the streets of the capital, sign up today to secure your place at pride@royalmail.com.
Be a Part of it! We need your help to make Black Pride a success! If you have a couple of hours free on Sunday 7 July, please come and help the LGBT & Friends steering group stall.
Senior content production manager, Julia Casson, said: ‘Our stall (pictured) and rainbow postbox was a massive hit last year - we want to make this year even bigger and better! So please register today at pride@royalmail.com to get involved!’
Parcelforce Worldwide concurrence and conformance manager, Dan Meacher, said: ‘This year, Parcelforce are leading Swindon Pride on 10 August, with our lovely rainbow-themed Parcelforce van.
‘If anybody wants to join us at Swindon pride on 10 August, please email PFWLGBT@parcelforce.co.uk to sign up - we'd love to see as many people support us as possible!’
Supporting Pride is another way we can celebrate our differences, reflect the communities we serve and promote Royal Mail as an equal opportunities employer and a true champion of LGBT+ colleagues and the wider LGBT+ community.
As one of the UK’s largest employers, we are committed to putting equality and diversity at the heart of our business. This year, we are once again taking part in the Pride in London parade, as well as Pride events in Newcastle, Liverpool, Belfast, Swindon and Cardiff. We will also be appearing at Trans Pride in Brighton and Black Pride in London.
Remember, all Royal Mail colleagues and their friends and family are invited to celebrate the below Pride events:
- London – 6 July
- Black Pride – 7 July
- Newcastle – 20 July
- Trans Pride – Brighton – 20 July
- Liverpool – 27 July
- Belfast – 3 August
- Swindon and Wiltshire Pride – 10 August
- Cardiff – 24 August
- Newry Pride – 31 August
We want people to sign up to attend the Pride of your choice as early as possible as places are capped. To secure your places, please email pride@royalmail.com with your name, the number of people attending with you, which Pride you would like to attend and whether you would like to be on our much-loved Royal Mail rainbow float.
