‘I'm just meed the tea’

Payroll Giving visits colleagues in Thurso and Stromness in the Scottish Highlands

Our Payroll Giving scheme holds the Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award, and is one of the largest in the UK.

Payroll Giving is a fantastic tax-efficient way to support a charity close to your heart. Over the last 30 years our people have given more than £60m to hundreds of good causes, making an enormous difference to people and communities across the UK and beyond.

We currently have two individual Payroll Giving agencies – Payroll Giving in Action and STC Payroll Giving, who visit our sites to provide information about the scheme and allow colleagues to sign up on the spot and with the minimum of fuss.

STC Payroll Giving recently visited colleagues at Thurso, and even further afield, Stromness (pictured) delivery offices in the Scottish Highlands to give them the opportunity to find out more about the scheme and sign up to give to a charity of their choice.

Gary Grange, former community investment manager, said: ‘Our people are truly amazing in their support of people, charities and communities around the UK. The Royal Mail Payroll Giving Scheme is one of the largest in the country and through the scheme, we have helped make an amazing difference to people far less fortunate than ourselves.

‘I would urge anyone who is not already in the scheme to sign up. It’s a tax-efficient way to support a cause of your choice. If you give just £10 a month, this will only cost a 20% taxpayer £8. Thank you to everyone at Royal Mail for your amazing contribution. You really do make a huge difference.’

If you would like one of our Payroll Giving agencies to visit your office, please email your details to community@royalmail.com leaving your name, office address and telephone number. We will then get someone to contact you.

Payroll Giving

About two thirds of us give to charitable causes on a regular basis. However, we don't always do this in the most tax-efficient way. Payroll Giving helps you give to causes you care about through your pay. If you pledge to support our charity partner, Action for Children, through payroll giving we will match the money you donate.
