Loving letterboxables
We have a strong proposition in letterboxable parcels. Being the UK’s biggest by far ‘feet on the street’ network with more than 90,000 postmen and women gives our combined letters and parcels delivery network an advantage over our competitors.
From cakes to Christmas trees, we’re helping small and medium businesses grow. Take a look at the video above, from RMtv, to find out more.
At Mount Pleasant Delivery Office, colleagues have seen an increase in the number of letterboxable parcels they are delivering.
Postman Tom Brooks, said: ‘They’re really easy to handle. They’re light and they fit through the letterbox really nicely. They appeal to customers because it saves them from having to go to the Post Office, which is time-consuming.’
Andrew Burns, delivery office manager, adds: ‘Letterboxable items are working really well. People can order flowers on a regular subscription and we deliver them the next day.’’
The perfect gift through the letterbox
For Asher Budwig, managing director, Lola’s Cupcakes, meeting customer expectations was key to his business. It meant using Royal Mail’s delivery service, through letterboxable parcels. And he’s been thrilled with how it’s worked so far.
He said: ‘We had been making brownies for a couple of months but we had never shipped them before, so we started looking at a box that could fit through the letterbox. We thought well, the brownies could fit quite nicely.
‘Royal Mail made the onboarding really easy. It was a very smooth transition. There’s a great deal of value placed on next-day delivery. Customers expect it the whole time now. They want to be able to order something late at night and have it the next day. For us, it’s imperative and something we really cherish.
‘We have confidence that Royal Mail will ensure our brownies will be delivered the next day. That means we can make that promise to our customer and they can buy on the back of that.’
