Hidden sculls

The Procurement team have set themselves another fantastic target to raise £10,101 this year for Action for Children by hosting a number of fundraising extravaganzas.
Once again, the team were back hosting another fantastic quiz with no less than 18 teams taking part, including the reigning champions, who unfortunately, couldn’t hold onto their crown.
Not content with simply warming up the crowd with their dulcet tones, our very own Mail Voice Choir decided to put their quizzing prowess to the test. So much so that they ended up walking away with the trophy! With a brilliant mix of rounds, in the risky Wipe Out, it was a fun evening for all, raising a magnificent £3,525.83, which will be matched by Royal Mail.
Will ‘Swing When You’re Winning’ be able to retain their title in 2020? Watch this space.
Meanwhile, procurement manager, Mark Harris and the team in Chesterfield put their fitness to the test with their Rowathon on Friday 17 May. By rowing their way to victory, the team raised an incredible £2,000! A huge thank you to every rower who took part – it looked like a very tiring day!
All fundraising by colleagues goes towards Action for Children’s schools-based blues-busting course, The Blues Programme, which has already helped more than 2,000 young people across the UK.
A massive thank you to everyone who organised the Rowathon and Big Quiz 2019! We know you have plenty more activities planned as part of the Ops Challenge, so we can’t wait to see what else you get up to!
