Enabling transformation

Colleagues from the Technology function gathered in London, Milton Keynes and Chesterfield for a live-streamed Town Hall event on Thursday 25 April.

The Town Hall opened with an address from chief information officer, Christian Herrlich, broadcast across all three locations, followed by a series of local presentations and an interactive, inter-site Q&A session.

The event outlined Royal Mail’s commitment to a strong, digital future and the IT strategy to enable this.

‘In order to digitise the organisation and realise the full benefits, we need to create an environment that enables transformation for Technology,’ said Christian. ‘We have defined where we want to go. Now is the time to start this journey.

‘We need to help each other on this journey and see this as an opportunity to build better working relationships, not only within Technology but also between Technology and the business. I think we all want to work in an environment where everyone feels empowered to make positive change.’
