Thank you too to Mike in Bradford, you’re a real credit to the business, Jennie in Hoylake for being such a ‘pleasant and delightful lady’ and to the postman on the counter at Northampton St James Mill Delivery Office, your patience and good manners made a real impression on queuing customers.

Below is a small selection of compliments sent in praise of our colleagues in recent days.

‘Mike is such an incredible and friendly postman. He will go the extra mile wherever he can! He is always smiley and chirpy and a real pleasure to have as our local postie. Managers don’t often get to see this side of their staff and hence our wonderful and positive feedback on this employee of yours. A real credit to Royal Mail!’

‘I just wanted to say that our postman is awesome. He has always been super polite and very thoughtful with our mail. He is never down, always upbeat and bright, no matter the weather. He is an asset to the service and shows off all the correct values one would expect from Royal Mail.’

Colin Stringer – Romford Mail Centre

‘We would like to say a huge thank you for sending back my husband's wallet. We thought someone in London had stolen it, but someone must have put it in a postbox and it was very kindly sent back by Colin Stringer of Romford Mail Centre. Much appreciated!

‘The staff on the desk yesterday at 2pm or thereabouts need praising. There was an elderly lady who was being extremely difficult and abusive as she’d received a letter with no stamp and had to pay (£2). Those of us queuing offered to pay it but she preferred to carry on ranting and raving at the Royal Mail employee. I thought he dealt calmly and politely with the situation. She was dreadfully behaved.’
