Disability-smart

The Business Disability Forum is undertaking the largest survey across the UK on the employer and employee experience of workplace adjustments.
The Forum is a not-for-profit membership organisation that ‘makes it easier and more rewarding to do business with and employ disabled people’.
‘Workplace adjustments’ is a phrase that many of us increasingly hear, say, and think about in places of work most days - and one which colleagues with disabilities and conditions rely on every day at work.
For millions of people across the UK, employers making adjustments can be the difference between staying in work and relying on welfare support or staying at home. Adjustments are often the difference between independence and disempowerment.
But how easy is it to talk about adjustments at work? How easy is it for employers to buy or arrange what we need? To what extent do adjustments make better and more inclusive workplaces? How far do adjustments open up a colleague’s career options?
Whether you are an employee, a manager, or someone else managing people and processes in your organisation, the Business Disability Forum want to hear your views on the experience of obtaining and working with adjustments in place.
Please share your views and complete the survey by clicking here. You will be taking part in the UK’s biggest ever employer and employee survey on the current practice of workplace adjustments.
You can help the Business Disability Forum by:
- completing the survey yourself
- sharing the survey link with colleagues
The survey is entirely anonymous. You will not be asked for your name, job title, or organisation. Depending on your answers, the survey should take you around 15 minutes to complete.
The survey closes on Monday 8 April 2019 at 8am.
