Challenging times
After more than 500 years in business we have changed significantly, transforming from a letters business that delivers parcels to a parcels business that delivers letters.
Our last transformation programme, which finished in 2015, delivered almost full letters automation. Today, around 90% of letters are automated, compared to only around 10% of parcels.
We now need to improve parcels automation. Letters are, and will remain, an important part of our business, but parcels are our growth area.
Our delivery colleagues are seeing this change every day as postman and RMtv presenter, Sam Green, from Camberley Delivery Office, has been finding out.
