All units should now have received enough Roles and Responsibilities booklets for every manager and colleague.

The Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Roles and Responsibilities booklets clarify the SHE responsibilities for all colleagues and managers and contain a summary of Group Health and Safety and Environment policies.

It is a legal requirement that we regularly remind our employees of their SHE responsibilities and to brief our people on the content of both the Health and Safety and Environment policy.

National operations director Simon Barker, said: ‘Safety is all of our responsibility. Occasionally we will have incidents or accidents and when we do, we must report them. Everyone needs to ensure that an accident is reported and the manager involved needs to ensure that an investigation takes place.’
