Busting the blues

The 2019 Operations Fundraising Challenge kicks off on Wednesday 1 May

The 2019 Ops Challenge in support of young people with or at risk of developing mental health issues, starts on Wednesday 1 May.

Teams have been busily planning for this year’s challenge, which as always, is a fun and exciting way to bring colleagues across the UK together and raise vital funds for our charity partner, Action for Children and their pioneering mental health initiative, the Blues Programme.

The Blues Programme, funded by Royal Mail, is an internationally acclaimed evidence based ‘blues- busting’ course for teenagers aged 13-19, which aims to reduce the signs of adolescent low mood and negative thoughts and promote prevention.

It costs £340 per student to take part in the course and so far, money raised thanks to your generosity, has seen the programme rolled out to more than 80 schools and colleges. A staggering 1,364 young people have now completed the programme, and with your help, we can roll this out more widely across the UK.

Teamwork makes the dream work

Once again, it’s time to step up your fundraising and compete head-to-head against your colleagues, to be crowned Royal Mail’s fundraising champions! By baking cakes, running marathons and trekking up and down mountains, you’ll be challenging yourself, learning new skills and having fun with your colleagues.
