‘We’re all on board’

National operations director, Simon Barker, hosted a Town Hall event at Burnley Delivery Office.
The session, which was attended by around 90 colleagues, saw Simon address a number of topics, including the challenges the business is currently facing, customer expectations and the need to get our quality of service right in a changing environment.
Burnley delivery office manager, Simon Figg, said: ‘It’s great to have someone senior come along and explain what’s going on strategically within the business as a whole. The team in Burnley know what needs to be done and where we need to go as a business going forward.’
Postman Terry Johnson, said: ‘Parcels are the future. If we get our investment in parcels right it’ll be a better world for all of us. We’re all on board. We all know the challenges we have in regard to the future and I think, altogether, we can get it sussed.’
Colleagues were keen to hear more about our commitment to the USO, our van fleet and whether it's fit for the continued growth in parcels, vehicle maintenance and the use of technology for planning.
Further town hall sessions are due to take place across a number of locations over the coming weeks, providing colleagues with the opportunity to hear directly from senior leaders and ask questions on any subject.
