Remembering Jodie Chesney

Harold Hill delivery office pay their respects to murdered London teenager, Jodie Chesney

Colleagues based at Harold Hill delivery office in east London have paid their respects to murdered London teenager, Jodie Chesney and her family.

The team at Harold Hill drove to the park in Romford where the 15-year-old lost her life and left a collection of purple ribbons as a tribute to Ms Chesney, after it was widely reported that purple was her favourite colour.

Delivery office manager, Terry Vincent, said: ‘We left the delivery unit in our Royal Mail fleet and drove down to the park with some purple ribbons.

‘All 36 delivery colleagues tied a purple bow to the fence outside the park, and stood for a minute’s silence. Afterwards colleagues took some time on their own to read the messages of condolence and look at all the floral tributes left by Jodie’s many friends and family.’

A collection among the team raised more than £200 for Ms Chesney’s family.
