Missing but not forgotten

Missing People alerts - using our technology, we can help reunite families and loved ones

Our partnership with the charity Missing People began more than four years ago. Since November 2014, we have sent out over 200 high-risk Missing People alerts to colleagues all around the UK.

The fantastic news is that most of these people have been found safe and well. Sadly however, some remain missing and this includes postman and former colleague, Carl Hodges, who has been missing since 3 February 2016.

Carl went missing from Northwood, Middlesex. It goes without saying that Carl’s family are missing him terribly and would love to know that he is safe and well. If you think that you have seen him, or you have any information that could help the charity and the police reunite Carl with his family, please call or text the free and confidential 24-hour helpline 116 000.

Improving our technology for good

To help with our search for missing people and to give families hope that their loved ones will be found safe and well, we have now improved the facility we have to send out alerts via our PDA system.

Up until now we have only been able to send an alert with a written description of the missing person. Now however, we can also send out an image, meaning those receiving the alerts can view a photo of the missing person when they open their PDA message.

When using your PDA, please remain vigilant for these messages so that you can help us in the search for high risk and vulnerable missing people.
