Logistics director Euan McMurdo, hosted a Town Hall event at North West distribution centre (NWDC).

Euan emphasised how we need to step up and focus on how we can all improve productivity and efficiency, before going on to talk about the changes within the senior management structure, our upcoming Capital Markets Day and our future investment.
‘Our present focus in Logistics is on new trucks, but we can’t promise they’ll all be brand new.
‘We’re also investing a great deal in yorks - I’d like to replace as many machines as possible. We’re putting in millions of pounds of new machines across the business, some of which will go into the new building.
‘I personally attended a recent session to bid for investment in york tracking. In around 18 months’ time we should be starting to track yorks.’
In response to a question from a colleague about supporting drivers who have to wait for mail, Euan said: ‘We have seen quality come up if our drivers move to time and only have 85-90% of the mail. So, I encourage our drivers to move to time – it’s the right thing to do.’
