Blazing a trail
#BlazeATrail is the theme for National Apprenticeships Week 2019 (NAW2019), which kicks off today.
The 12th annual National Apprenticeship Week, which runs until Friday 8 March, is a great opportunity to bring the whole apprenticeship community together to highlight the fantastic opportunities that an apprenticeship brings to employers, individuals and the economy.
At Royal Mail, our apprentices make a huge contribution across a number of areas, including fleet vehicle maintenance, engineering, project management, finance and HR.
We are supporting NAW2019 in a number of ways.
Applications for vehicle maintenance apprentices open today. If you have a friend or family member who is interested in applying, they can find more information at https://earlycareers.royalmailgroup.com. Applications close on 9 May 2019.
Also this week:
- Sara McGinley, one of our HR apprentices, will be meeting the Skills Minister, Anne Milton, at the House of Commons on Thursday 7 March in an event organised by the National Apprenticeship Service. Keep an eye out for her feedback!
- We will be participating in Apprenticeships Fairs in Kingswinsford and Milton Keynes and promoting our apprenticeships across our social channels.
- Some of our apprentices will be sharing their stories on our internal channels throughout this week and in Courier later this month. First up is Katie Malin, one of our vehicle maintenance apprentices at Leicester workshop, who shares her experiences in this week’s RMtv. Watch her clip above.
