‘The perfect post person’

To the ‘lovely gentleman’ and his ‘excellent services,’ to the two-year-old boy, who sees postman, Gary from Haywards Heath, as his best friend - our customers tell us once again how amazing our colleagues on delivery really are.

Tom Hainey (pictured) - Ayr delivery office

‘We moved to Ayr nearly 10 years ago. Over that period, we have got to know our local postman, Tom Hainey very well. If there was a model for the perfect post person it would be Tom. He is friendly, customer-focused and helpful. I know he is probably the type of person who takes pride in his job and would be embarrassed if he was singled out for praise. However, he deserves to be recognised. If only other organisations had staff of this calibre’. - Alan Roseweir

‘The postman knocked on the door after delivery of our post as he had found a set of car keys and wanted to ask if the keys belonged to me. We had been looking for the keys all night and the set of keys also had our house key and our business keys on them. I just wanted to say what an honest person he is and thank you for making the effect to knock on our door to see if they belonged to us! I am extremely grateful. THANK YOU!’ – Zoe Dajci

Gary - Haywards Heath delivery office

‘I just wanted to say how wonderful our postman is. We have lived here for just over four years and he is so polite and happy. He chats to our son who he has seen grow to love him. Our son (two years, 11 months) calls him his best friend and runs to the door to say hello. I have found out that he has moved to another round which we are extremely sad about and our son has asked why. We will miss him hugely, seeing him in his shorts even when it’s raining! If you can put him back on Park Road we would be so very happy. Thank you’. - Emma Laundon.

‘To whom it may concern. I'd just like to pass on our continued gratitude for having Herbie deliver our packages. He's an absolute gem, always friendly and cheerful and willing to always wander up three flights of stairs on a pretty regular basis. He's a real credit to the service. ‘Have to say/acknowledge today's postman...I was outside cleaning my car when he arrived. I soon realised he had hearing problems, but what a lovely gentleman. We communicated for a while and I thanked him for his excellent services. Please find him and note my thanks – a very nice man.
