Postman Ralph

How we helped make a little boy’s Christmas wish come true

Our uniform team went the extra mile to help make one little boy’s Christmas wish come true.

Ten-year-old Ralph attends a Resource Base for children with speech, language and communication difficulties. When local postman, Ben, came to do a talk at his school last year, Ralph was so inspired that he decided he wants to become a postman when he grows up.

The only thing he really wanted for Christmas was a genuine postman’s uniform. Not one like Postman Pat’s, but the real deal.

Debra Wright, one of our customer advisors, said: ‘Ralph’s mother, Sonia, contacted us to see if we could help. We got in touch with our uniform supplier, Dimensions, and they were able to provide a red polo shirt and fleece, shorts, cap and high-viz jacket to fit Ralph’s height.’

Sonia said Ralph was delighted with his gift: ‘I can't begin to tell you how much he loves it!’ she said. ‘Thank you so much to all involved. It's blown me away how brilliant you've all been.’

She sent us the above picture of Ralph in his new uniform.

‘I’m just so pleased we could make this boy’s Christmas wish come true,’ added Nigel Merrifield, in the uniform team, who helped to organise the special delivery.
