From Me to You

Show your support and write a letter to a friend with cancer

Royal Mail is pleased to introduce From Me to You, the charity working to end social isolation among people living with cancer.

From Me to You encourages connections through letters, cards and postcards to brighten a cancer patient’s day and let them know they are not alone.

People often write to a friend or family member but another very important strand to the charity’s work is its ‘Donate a Letter’ campaign. This sees people writing letters to an anonymous recipient, which From Me to You delivers to participating oncology ward inpatients around the country.

The charity, which delivers letters throughout the year, is also working towards two seasonal campaigns designed to attract more letter writers to the cause.

From Me to You co-founder, Alison Hitchcock, said: ‘This summer, From Me to You hopes to see more people brightening the day of a patient by sending a postcard to let them know they are being thought of.

‘Then, in October, a “Big Letter Write” is planned to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The aim is to get people together with a book group, sports club or lunch meeting to write to a friend, loved one or for Donate A Letter.’
