Fighting for safety

To help protect our postmen and women from dangerous dog attacks, we continue to raise awareness and press Government to improve legislation.

Royal Mail recently submitted written evidence about the scale of attacks – sometimes leading to a permanent and disabling injury.

Environment Minister David Rutley MP appeared before the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee to discuss the report on Dangerous Dogs Legislation.

Among the subjects considered, the committee will also focus on dogs bred for fighting.

Dog attacks have a devastating effect on our people so we will continue our campaign to make sure that MPs know the scale of the problem and what we are dong to tackle it.
