Bucket brigade

Delivery line manager Pat McKenna, from Woolwich delivery office, arranged a bucket collection at London’s Euston station, in aid of our charity partner, Action for Children.

Pat was joined in Euston by colleagues Donna Barrett, Brian Farrell, Dave Jackson, John Doyle, Samantha Summers, Mark Shekle, Jane Wilson and Tony Bicknell. Together, they raised more than £830.

Pat has raised tens of thousands of pounds in recent years, fundraising for various charities, including our very own Rowland Hill Fund. This year, between January and June, he has set himself the target of raising £10,000 for Action for Children, with Royal Mail matched giving.

Among other fundraising activities he has planner, Pat will be taking part in this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon.

‘This is my fourth London Marathon, so I’m well aware of the approaching pain!’ he said. ‘This year, I’m looking to run the course in approximately four hours, but just completing it will be great!

‘I would like to thank everyone who joined me at Euston station - we had a great day working together to raise money for this worthy cause. Others who helped and are not pictured above include Dilip Sharma, Craig Wallace, Emma Bamford and Veronica Hubbard.’
