It’s back…

Our 2019 Inclusion Week kicks off next week: being inclusive…it’s just what we do!

In January 2018 we launched our first ‘Altogether Different’ campaign, celebrating diversity and inclusion at Royal Mail.

Next week’s Inclusion Week (21-27 January) is our opportunity to celebrate the power of diversity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and the successes we achieve, by being inclusive and working together as a team.

This year we are thinking about diversity in its broadest sense, including diversity of thought and perspectives, skills and experiences, nationalities and cultural backgrounds.

Next week is all about encouraging our people to feel comfortable bringing their ‘whole selves’ to work and valuing the uniqueness and contribution of our friends and colleagues.

During the course of Inclusion Week you can read stories here on myroyalmail.com and the intranet featuring colleagues' personal experiences of being themselves at work. We will also highlight the work of our six diversity steering groups, and launch both a diversity and inclusion calendar as well as a video featuring colleagues talking about what being inclusive means for them. There will also be a number of local diversity-themed activities happening in units up and down the country.

Please find the time to talk to your colleagues and teams about what makes our workplace so special, what inclusion means to them both in and outside of work, and how we as a business can do more to make each and every one of us feel ‘part of it’.

We are incredibly proud of our colleagues who, with their different perspectives, experiences and backgrounds, make us the best at what we do. Being inclusive…it’s just what we do!
