Go for gold

Action for Children is offering one lucky runner a ‘gold London Marathon place’

Did you apply for a ballot place in this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 28 April, and miss out?

Don’t panic, our charity partner, Action for Children, is offering colleagues a final ‘gold London Marathon place’ - a last chance to take part in the most iconic marathon in the world.

By taking part, you'll have the chance to take in some of London's greatest landmarks over 26.2 miles while supporting young people across the UK who are suffering from mental health conditions.

Alarmingly, one in every 10 children and young people aged five to 16 years of age, suffers from a diagnosable mental health disorder – that’s around three children in every class.

Action for Children’s Blues Programme aims to support young people across the UK and make sure that they receive the mental health support they need. Funded by Royal Mail, the pioneering mental health initiative will reach 8,000 young people who are at risk of developing depression and other mental health issues, giving them the chance to thrive.

Sign up here and join Action for Children in this year’s Virgin Money London Marathon to support young people's mental health. Remember, Royal Mail will cover the cost of your registration fee, so the £2,000 target you raise will be directly invested into the Blues Programme. Additionally, with Royal Mail's penny for penny matched giving programme, your donation will make an even greater difference to the more than 300,000 children the charity helps.

What you’ll receive:

  • Training guides and tips
  • Advice and support from a dedicated local fundraiser
  • Regular updates and news
  • A branded running vest and letters
  • Information for your supporters
  • Cheering points along the course and a strong team atmosphere
  • A post-race meeting point close to the finish line

There is only one place left for one lucky runner so sign up today to be in with a chance of securing the place! Click here to sign up now.
