Christmas stars

Thank you to everyone who recognised team members over the festive period. We received some fantastic examples of colleagues going truly above and beyond for the business, our customers and the wider community.
Congratulations to everyone who was nominated, including the small selection of Process colleagues mentioned below.
Malachy McGovern, Northern Ireland mail centre
‘At this time of year Mal organizes our annual charity raffles and this includes a huge staff party for people to bring their families to the plant to see Santa and take part in what is an awesome party. All the money from the event and the subsequent raffles goes to support our charity partner and some local charities.
Mal works tirelessly with the local children's hospice in Northern Ireland and devotes an immense amount of time to fundraising. The passion and contribution he delivers truly makes a difference in the lives of employees, their families and the local community. An all-round star.’
Jill Petrie, Aberdeen mail centre
‘Jill has gone above and beyond in helping our Christmas casuals working in the areas she works in. In the warehouse she has, without being asked, trained six casuals brand new to the warehouse. All the casuals have commented on how Jill has put them at ease while encouraging them to make sure the quality of work is to a high level.
‘In the evening, Jill works in our foreign mail area and all year round has made us the best for quality and presentation to HWDC. We had planned to put our own skilled staff in the foreign mail area, however, Jill took three casuals and trained and coached them to the highest level. To add to this Jill is not a paid coach and has never asked for anything in return.’
Peter Scott, Seacroft collection hub
‘Peter is always willing to put himself out to help improve our collection performance. He recently worked alongside our planner to oversee our PBS2 revision, doing a lot of work in his own time to ensure the new duties will suit the office and increase efficiency while minimising the impact on the rest of the team.
‘He has been actively chasing revenue loss from PPI customers and was recently responsible for identifying a poster from whom a recovery of £1438.25 was made.’
