Vote 100

Celebrating our amazing women – Amy McQuillan

Her passions for people and diversity as well as her charitable work are just some of the reasons why business modelling consultant, Amy McQuillan, from the efficiency and costing team, has been nominated for our Vote 100 campaign.

Head of business modelling, Prerna Rungta, from the Efficiency and Costing team, said: ‘Amy is an incredible asset to the business modelling team and indeed the organisation. In addition to being exceptionally good at her job, Amy is also passionate about people and diversity within Royal Mail.

‘In the last four years that Amy has been with the business, she has ingrained herself in the social fabric of the company and is a champion and great role model of our values. She is a promoter and active participant in the work being completed by the LGBT+ & Friends steering group as well as the finance mental health and well-being steering groups.

‘Amy is also an ambassador for the Rowland Hill Fund and was recently nominated for their change champion award. In addition, she is also a trustee for POOBI, overseeing the allocation of university bursaries, and she is responsible for the development of the newcomer’s network which aims to support new joiners to the business.

‘Amy is an active participant in the Mail Voice choir and the charity lead for the finance function. In terms of her work, she is completely dependable, and can be trusted to provide quality work to schedule every time.’

‘I started in the business modelling team as an analyst and moved up to consultant a couple of years ago,’ said Amy. ‘I’ve learned a lot in these roles and am extremely grateful for the support and mentoring I’ve received from colleagues along the way.

‘The role is challenging and varied and gives me new opportunities to use the computational and analytical skills I developed in my previous career in astrophysics.

‘I love getting involved in all that Royal Mail has to offer, and it’s a wonderful surprise to be recognised in the Vote 100 campaign alongside the colleagues who inspire me.

‘I’m proud to work for a company that gives so much back to the community, sets a high standard for diversity and inclusion, and provides fantastic opportunities to its workforce.’
