At 1,518 ft above sea level, postman Paul Higginbottom serves what is officially the highest altitude postal route in the UK, in Flash, Derbyshire.
Above, he is pictured venturing out on one of his last rounds before the festive break, ensuring the people on his 45-mile route – which stretches from Buxton to Flash – receive their cards and presents with enough time to spare for Christmas.
‘I feel very lucky to serve such a beautiful route,’ said Paul. ‘It’s really special at this time of year when I have lots of cards and presents to deliver to the community.’
Although Thursday 20 December was officially the last posting date before Christmas for First Class stamps, customers are still able to send last minute deliveries with our Tracked 24 and Special Delivery services. Click here to find out more.
