A Keepsafe will help keep your home and identity safe by holding onto your mail while you're away and safely returning it once you're back.

The service holds customers’ mail when they are away from home, so their absence isn’t advertised by a pile of mail building up on the doormat. It helps prevent identity fraud by stopping mail falling into the wrong hands.

It's easy to apply for a Keepsafe online - we just need five days' notice to get it set up.

How to apply for a Keepsafe

1. Online. The quickest way to buy a Keepsafe is online

2. By post. You can also print an application form, or pick up a form in your local delivery office.

Please note:

• The person making the application must be 18 or over
• The card you use to pay must be registered to the same address as the Keepsafe
• You should include the full names of everyone whose mail you want held. You need to do this even if you tick the box to include everyone at the address.

Free for colleagues

Remember that our Redirection and Keepsafe services are available free of charge to Royal Mail colleagues.

If you’re moving house and want your mail redirected, or you’re going away and want us to keep your mail securely at the delivery office, you can take out these services for free.

Your manager needs to complete an application form on your behalf in order to verify your identity. The form is available via the ‘Perks and Discounts’ section of My Bundle or the Benefits page on the intranet.

You can renew your Redirection for up to a maximum of four years and apply for Keepsafe for a maximum of two months in any one application.
