Keeping Santa busy…

Santa Mail service proves a hit once more

With just eight days to go until Christmas, Santa and his elves have been busy getting the sleigh ready for the long journey on Christmas Eve.

In between all their Christmas preparations, the big man has been finding time to reply to all the hundreds of thousands of letters children across the UK have been sending him with the help of colleagues throughout the country.

For 55 years, Father Christmas’s team of Royal Mail elves have found that along with toys, children still ask for a range of funny, touching and heart-warming requests. Have a look at some of the below letters that Santa has been happy to share with us:

‘Dear Santa,

Please can I have a Baby Annabell bedroom, a 3-in-1 buggy with car seat, a Kidicom Max, So Slime DIY, some PlayDoh, a Flicker scooter, and a Mr Frostie.

Please can my baby brother have a teddy, a rattle, and a surprise.

I have been a very good girl and Darragh has been a good boy,

Love from Mia-Rose and Darragh XOXO.’

‘To Santa and Elves

Hasn’t anyone seen my letters that are hanging up on the kitchen door yet? They have been up on the door for a few weeks already and I’m a bit upset that no-one’s collected them yet! So I would appreciate it if someone could come and collect them soon please!

Thank you. Take care,

Love from Chloe xxxxx’

‘Dear Santa, hope you come to our house. I am very good with my sport. I have got medals for judo and I play rugby. Please can I have sports stuff please. We have a dog, Bailey. He is mad like my brother. I do my chores and put my money in savings.

Thank you. Erin xxx’

Postwoman, Anne Wilson, from Bowthorpe delivery office in Norwich, was lucky enough to be emptying the postbox outside her three-year-old grandson, Teddy’s nursery school, when he and his friends came trooping out with their teachers, to post their letters to Santa.

‘The picture shows Teddy receiving his letter back from Santa. It was so lovely to see his little happy face.’

Royal Mail is synonymous with Christmas. Since 1963, we have had the special privilege of delivering all the letters to Santa and his elves and helping him reply to girls and boys up and down the country every Christmas.
