High praise

As we continue our festive engagement programme with elected representatives, we hosted the Prime Minister at Maidenhead delivery office.

After meeting colleagues Mrs May praised colleagues across the UK who so admirably pull out all the stops to make sure that our customers’ letters and parcels get delivered in time for Christmas.

‘This is a really busy time and people are working really hard,’ said the PM. ‘And of course, at a time when everyone else is slowing down before Christmas, here at Royal Mail, everyone is having to speed up and take on extra work.

‘But it’s great what you all do. You’re a part of our Christmas. Thank you to everyone in Royal Mail for what you do to ensure that all of us are able to enjoy a really good Christmas.’
