Say it with a card

With Christmas fast approaching, sites should soon be receiving their 2018 Christmas P739 cards.
Remember, a key element of delivering for customers during our peak period is reducing the number of complaints we receive.
Every complaint we receive costs us money and harms our reputation. We have to get it right first time, every time, especially during the festive season.
If a customer is not at home to receive an item that requires a signature or the item is too big for their letterbox, it is essential we inform them of an attempted delivery, and where they can locate their item using the information provided in the correctly filled-out cards or slips we deliver.
When we fail to leave a P739 ‘Something for you’ card or a ‘With your neighbour’ slip, customers complain. Give the customer a chance to get to the door. If they’re not at home, attempt Delivery to Neighbour (where possible). Always leave a fully completed ‘With your Neighbour’ or P739 ‘Something for you’ card so that customers know where their item is.
Every one of you can make a difference. We must scan every barcode in all of our mail centres and on delivery. We must attempt Delivery to Neighbour. And we must complete our P739 ‘Something for you’ cards.
