Delivery festive tips - getting it right at our busiest time of year
As the busy festive period sets in, it is more important than ever to follow the principles of our pipeline priorities.
The expectations of our customers are always high and climb to new levels during the Christmas season, when every letter or parcel could help create treasured memories for friends and loved ones.
We all have our part to play in making their Christmas. It’s an amazing opportunity to step up during this special time of year and offer new and existing customers the best experience possible.
To help ensure we all deliver, please keep our top festive tips in mind.
- Snow, gales or thunderstorms - remember to stay safe in adverse or severe weather. When snow or ice is forecast, make sure you carry ice grippers and spikeys and use them when necessary. Beware of hidden hazards under the snow, and wear hi-visibility clothing
- Scan every barcoded item at the correct time and place, in line with the Standard Operational Procedure for the product
- Deliver first time by maximising the use of Delivery to Neighbour, using the correct PDA scan and completing a 'With Your Neighbour' slip
- Empty all Collections on Delivery (COLOD) boxes, scanning all barcodes and returning mail to the consolidation point in the office.
