Getting creative

Colleagues at Truro mail centre raised more than £300 for our in-house charity, the Rowland Hill Fund (RHF) by hosting an art exhibition in their conference room.
Colleagues got creative to produce more than 50 pieces of art and craftwork, ranging from paintings and photographs to bunting and knitted pieces.
Some of the artwork was kindly donated for a silent auction, raising £338 for the Fund, which helps colleagues of Royal Mail Group, pensioners and their immediate families with financial and practical support.
Due to the success of the exhibition, the Truro art collective are already planning to do the same next year and have been busy encouraging any budding artists in their ranks to once again get creative.
Plant manager, Daniel Langdon, said: ‘The team here have done a fantastic job in getting people together from different functions and shifts - it’s a great opportunity to really celebrate something that’s above and beyond.’
Late shift work area manager, Sophie Gratton, said: ‘A massive thank you to everyone who dug deep. Special thanks go to Lionel Marney and Anthony Hircock for communicating with the artists and displaying all the artwork. They have done a great job in getting people together from different functions and shifts - great job guys!’
