All in the line of duty

Colleagues from our Group Legal team, together with some of our external legal advisors, have been volunteering at London’s Whitechapel Mission. 

The Whitechapel Mission is a charitable organisation that provides support for homeless people in the capital, including food, shelter, clothing and medical care. It also offers programmes such as job skills training and addiction recovery.

Around 50 volunteers helped out at the Mission by cooking breakfast for several hundred people and sorting through mounds of clothes, donated by members of the public for the homeless and those living in poverty in the local area. 

Senior legal advisor, Daniel Quy, who oversees the team’s CSR activities and who organised the event, said: ‘It was great to see so many volunteers, particularly those who turned up at 5.30am. 

‘The Mission was delighted with the great turnout and the assistance we provided. I know that everyone who volunteered had a good time in the process.’
