On next week’s RMtv, we’re at Whitby delivery office, where colleagues have been building on the trust customers have in us with a trial to support the Government’s strategy to tackle loneliness.

We’re integral to the trial of Safe and Connected - a new commercial community service that builds on the unique role our Delivery colleagues play in their communities.

As part of the trial, developed with the support of the CWU, our postmen and women will make regular scheduled visits to pre-selected volunteer customers, aged 65 and over, while out on their rounds.

Also in the programme:

• Business transformation director, Post & Parcels UK, Ian Jones, has been out with Rugby postman Tim Dawson to demonstrate our latest PDA Outdoor Actuals technology
• We meet this year’s ‘Postie of the Year’, Brian Milner, whose win at the Chairman’s Awards for Excellence came for both the impact he’s had on his delivery office team, and his dedication to charity work.

And finally, as part of our ‘Stamp out Aches and Pains’ health and wellbeing campaign, we are sharing hints on tips on what you can do to reduce musculoskeletal problems.
