Vote 100

Her phenomenal work rate and mentoring skills are just some of the reasons why portfolio integration manager Katarina Sedlackova from the Technology Business Operations team has been nominated for our Vote 100 campaign.
Associate business analyst Jack Benzie, said: ‘Katarina has been a real driving force in making continuous improvements to process and ways of working in her area, which is technology governance and gating, supporting our technology strategy.
‘Specifically, I can call out her work on designing and trialling a new gating process for Agile projects, supporting the design and rollout of the new 90-day investment drawdown approach and her work on improving resourcing processes and tools.
‘The amount of work Katarina gets through each week, with a smile on her face, is truly astonishing.
‘She has acted as a personal mentor to technology graduate Esther Ejedenawe and I and has always led by example.
‘Katarina is great at asking the difficult questions, getting the team to reflect on best approaches to tasks and ensuring we meet our objectives.’
‘I joined the technology business operations team three years ago as a portfolio analyst,’ said Katarina. ‘My first year was focused on managing and continuously developing our technology gating.
‘Following on from this, for the last two years I have been leading the governance stream of the GetAgile transformation programme. This is delivering a three-year technology strategy through a culture change, organisational redesign and a platform delivery plan. During this time, I have been fortunate to work with many inspirational leaders who taught me how to drive change effectively, how to challenge constructively and above all, how to build trust and recognise success.
‘I believe this experience has helped me to lead by example and bring the best version of myself to work every day. I feel privileged to be a part of a team that is empowered to change and improve the ways we work. This brings a significant level of responsibility and delivering on our ambitious plans can be challenging. That said, I find my work really rewarding.’
