Music in mind

A new charity single by a musical postman from Coventry will pay tribute to a former colleague, while raising awareness of mental health issues.

Mind, one of our charity partners, will benefit from every download of Scattered Lines by The Loaded, a song dedicated to Dave ‘Monty’ Lamont who died tragically in 2016.

The track features the voice, guitar and songwriting skills of Monty’s friend Paul Quinn, who has been based at Coventry South delivery office for 13 years.

‘I don’t have any expectations for the single, but it would be nice to raise between £500 and £1,000 over the next year,’ said Paul. ‘I just want to make as much money for the charity as possible and raise awareness of the great work they do around mental health.’

As well as the single, Paul held an all-day concert in his home town last month called COVtember, which also benefited Mind.
