Vote 100

Her sunny disposition and ability to support others even when she is under pressure are just some of the reasons why delivery change lead Lorraine Stiles, from Mount Pleasant mail centre, has been nominated for our Vote 100 campaign.
Donna Barrett, delivery line manager at Bexleyheath delivery office, said: ‘I don’t think Lorraine is given enough credit for the amount of help she gives to others. She is always volunteering her time and remains cheerful even when she is under a lot of pressure.
‘She has encouraged and supported many women in Royal Mail to take part in Springboard – the women’s development programme, aimed at supporting female colleagues into management.
‘When I was off with a knee injury in October 2015, Lorraine took me under her wing to assist her with devising some valuable tools for delivery offices, such as Tracked signboards for all walks, better signage above walk frames, and instructions and van layouts for colleagues covering a drive.
‘She also persuaded me to pursue an application for a deputy manager role in East London for which I was successful, and I know of another deputy manager who is presently on Collections who Lorraine has given a lot of support to.
‘Lorraine is always smiling and is probably one of the friendliest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. I have no hesitation in nominating her for the Vote 100 campaign.’
‘I really enjoy my job as a change lead as it involves helping the delivery managers in their roles,’ said Lorraine. ‘I give them advice and support and help to put in place and embed our Business Standards.
‘I have worked for Royal Mail for many years. I still enjoy new challenges and seeing all the new products and innovations within the business.
‘I often find people need a sounding board, someone to listen to and hear words of encouragement from.’
