Vote 100

Her ability to wholeheartedly live our values is just one reason why Nicky Went from the Address Management unit (AMU), has been nominated for our Vote 100 campaign.
Carlton Hall, licence development and implementation manager, said: ‘I have worked with Nicky for a number of years now and she works really hard to make sure our customers are 100% satisfied in their dealings with the AMU – the team which manages the Postcode Address File (PAF).
‘Nicky gets involved in many different projects internally including Diversity, Investors in People, Data Seal (and many more) and she also works really hard cross-functionally within Royal Mail often doing projects which are outside her immediate areas of responsibility.
‘She is a real role model for all of us in terms of getting work completed to the finish, involving others, as well as getting involved and living the values of Royal Mail.
‘I feel it was a lucky day for me when I joined the AMU 11 years ago,’ said Nicky. ‘Although I was confident I had the skills required to work in the team that looks after postcode data, I very nearly took another job in Royal Mail – I’m so glad I didn’t!
‘Working in this team with such an amazing bunch of people is brilliant and has given me the opportunity to be part of a team that gets involved in lots of different projects. My roles in AMU have been really enriching and have helped me develop my skills, knowledge and experience.
‘Working with people is the best part of my job and I love seeing colleagues develop and achieve their goals and ambitions. I helped AM obtain a Gold Investors in People award, which was personally fulfilling and great recognition for a wonderful team.
‘I have had all sorts of different roles at Royal Mail and each one of these has been interesting and presented me with a variety of challenges. Thanks to the great support I have had along the way I know that I am ready to help our team celebrate 60 years of the postcode next year.
‘I look forward to working with AMU to shape the next 60!’
