Changes to International Tracked & Signed service

We are introducing a variant to the International Tracked & Signed service on 3 September for qualifying customers who are based in areas of the UK that Royal Mail serves only by road network.

The service allows the carriage of limited quantities (LQ) of dangerous goods (DG) (e.g. perfumes) by road from the UK, via the Channel Tunnel to 11 countries served by GLS, where delivery will be fulfilled by our European partner.

Customers will present these items, correctly packaged and labelled, mixed with their usual International Tracked & Signed packages in sleeved yorks.

These will be presented for processing via Special Delivery lockers as usual and must be treated in line with normal Tracked & Signed processes. Customers may, by prior arrangement, also have direct road services into Heathrow Worldwide distribution centre (HWDC), in which case the locker does not handle their outward traffic.

Return to sender (RTS) services will come back via the Channel Tunnel and be sent via lockers for return as usual.
