Milestone anniversary

50 years on and Neil is still doing the job he loves

In the year that astronauts first orbited the Moon, and The Beatles released The White Album, a young postman in Kidderminster began the first of his many rounds.

Fifty years later and Neil Burton, now in Stourport-on-Severn, is still doing the job he loves.

He says among the biggest changes since the 1960s is the end of 4.30am starts and second deliveries.

But his dedication to his work has been a constant. ‘It’s all about meeting people and serving our customers,’ he said.
