Our Game of Thrones stamp enlargement auction raised an incredible £6,595 for Action for Children.
The collection of special editionstamp enlargements autographed by cast members was auctioned online by Royal Mail and HBO.
Each stamp was auctioned off individually, with a total of six stamps available. The auction was powered by the eBay for Charity programme and featured on Action for Children’s eBay page from 28 June until 9 July.
The impressive collection included stamp enlargements signed by:
- Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister)
- Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister)
- Maisie Williams (Arya Stark)
- Kit Harington (Jon Snow)
- Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen)
- Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark).
The enlargements were signed by the cast while filming the final season of the hit HBO series, which will air in 2019. Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark, was the top seller, raising £1,375.
All Royal Mail proceeds from the sale will be donated to Action for Children’s Blues Programme, supporting the mental health of young people aged 15-16 years old, across the country.
Action for Children’s corporate development manager Rachel Mederson, said: ‘We are incredibly grateful to Royal Mail for donating six Game of Thrones signed stamp enlargements for us to auction.
‘These were unique and collectable items which have helped raise a significant amount of money for Action for Children and our Blues Programme. The money raised through this auction will help us to directly support the mental health of more young people across the UK.’
