Realising your potential

The BAME (black, Asian and minority ethnic) steering group wants to hear from you.

Colleagues are invited to attend a BAME network event on Wednesday 11 July at North West Midlands mail centre.

The event will be an opportunity for colleagues to learn more about what the network does, including information on the BAME mentoring scheme, which has just seen its first cohort graduate.

A similar event was held at the Phoenix Centre in London last month. Sue Whalley, CEO Post & Parcels UK, joined the group at the recent session as they discussed career progression opportunities, changing perceptions and where colleagues can get advice and support.

This week’s session presents another opportunity for colleagues to have a frank and open discussion around the challenges BAME colleagues face and how the steering group can help find solutions.

The event, which is run in collaboration with CWU, will be held in the Simulator Room from 2pm-5pm. Refreshments will be provided.
