Sue Whalley hosts House of Commons annual summer reception

CEO Post and Parcels UK, Sue Whalley, attended the Royal Mail annual summer reception at the Houses of Parliament.

This was the first time Sue has hosted such an event in her new role.

The reception was kindly sponsored by Scott Mann MP, a former postman of 20 years at Wadebridge delivery office, Cornwall.

Attendees also included Karen Bradley MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland), Liam Fox MP (Secretary of State for International Trade), Andrew Griffiths MP (Postal Affairs Minister), Emily Thornberry MP (Shadow Foreign Secretary) and Neil Parish (Chairman of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee).

David Gold, our director of public affairs and policy, said: ‘It was a great opportunity for Sue to meet politicians in Parliament on Tuesday as part of our UK engagement programme. While in Parliament, Sue took the opportunity to meet the postmen and women who deliver to MPs, peers and staff and thanked them for all their hard work.’
