Business is blooming

Colleague discount available from Later Acceptance Times customer Bloom & Wild

The first customer to sign up to Later Acceptance Times (LATs) for Tracked 24 is offering a discount for all Royal Mail colleagues, to say thank you for its successful start.

Around 180 units having launched dedicated afternoon parcel deliveries as part of the first phase of the rollout of LATs.

This is a key element of our agreement with CWU and allows us to respond to the demands of the market. It means we can accept items into our distribution centres later into the evening, up to 1.30am, for next-day delivery.

Flower company Bloom & Wild are our first customers. They are pleased with the start we have made and are offering a 20% discount for colleagues ordering online at bloomandwild.com. Enter the discount code ROYALMAIL2 at the checkout to take advantage. The offer runs until the end of July, and is restricted to one use, per person.

Bloom & Wild’s senior operations manager Henry Mower said: ‘We have seen encouraging early signs around the operation and performance.’

Kirkcaldy delivery office is one of the units now delivering later in the day.

Postman Chris Dowling said: ‘It’s a positive move and definitely makes us more competitive. It might be a challenge delivering to areas we haven’t delivered to before but I’ve been looking forward to trying out the new routes.’

Look out for more in next week’s RMtv and the July issue of Courier, which is due to land at homes from Friday 27 July.
