The June issue

The June edition of Courier will be landing at homes from Friday 29 June.
In your latest issue we look at how we are getting the most out of our PDA technology. PDAs will automatically alert collection and customer service point colleagues when a customer’s mail is required for sampling by revenue protection.
The feature, to be introduced soon, comes as part of a package of changes to PDAs that will make for a simpler and smoother mail acceptance process for colleagues.
Ready to act – the results are in
This year, 82% of colleagues shared their views on what it’s like to work at Royal Mail. The three main scores – employee engagement, culture and customer focus – have all improved on last year.
Ask your manager for your team’s results if you haven’t seen them. Teams are using their results and action plan board to celebrate the great things about where they work and develop an action plan focusing on the areas that need improving.
Also in the issue:
• On your Delivery page - Dumfries delivery office has set the bar high after colleagues achieved an excellent success rate on doorstep scanning with their PDAs.
• On your Process page - Mail centres around the country are using new powered conveyors to improve how our colleagues open bags of mail ready for sorting.
• On your Logistics page – Colleagues in Logistics have beaten their target and raised an incredible amount of money for Action for Children as part of the Ops Fundraising Challenge
And finally, of the 32 teams in Russia for this summer’s World Cup, we have colleagues from 28 of them, illustrating the diverse nature of our business. Watch out for our winning team showing their colours on the back page.
