Now in their ninth year, the awards are bigger and better than ever in 2018 and are a great way of recognising and rewarding our outstanding colleagues

A full list of awards includes: the CEO’s Award for Bravery, Rising Star Award, Postie of the Year, Team Leader of the Year, Team of the Year, Community Champion, Safety, Health and Wellbeing Champion, International Colleague of the Year, International Team of the Year, Fleet Technician of the Year, HGV and MGV Driver of the Year and the Customer Experience Awards:  Handle with Care, Service Excellence and Inspirational Colleague.

Tips for writing a good nomination:

  • Carefully review the nomination criteria and ensure the individual/team meets them. Visit www.myroyalmail.com/chairmansawards2018
  • Justification and support: make your nomination come alive – give details and specific examples about the individual you are nominating. The more information you provide, the better. Remember, the judging panel doesn't know your nominee like you do. It’s important to describe how they have gone above and beyond their normal duties.
  • Relevance: explain how they fit with our business values to Be Positive, Be Brilliant and Be Part of It.
  • Make sure your nomination is clear and easy to read.
  • Structure – introduce your nominee, explain why they are deserving of the nomination, and then sum everything up at the end.

All shortlisted colleagues will receive an invitation to the awards, which take place in London on 18 October 2018.
