Rainbow postbox on tour

Our rainbow postbox, first used at last year’s Pride in London event, visited Morecambe delivery office last month as part of its continuing tour around the UK.
Colleagues in Morecambe took it to the seafront for a photo shoot with the famous Eric Morecambe statue.
LGBT & Friends steering group secretary Leon Evans, said: ‘In the run-up to this year’s Pride in London on Saturday 8 July, our rainbow postbox is a lovely way for colleagues around the country to brighten up their day and show support for their LGBT friends at Royal Mail.
‘We are currently working on a Google map to show all the offices that our dearly loved postbox has visited so that colleagues can see how far it has travelled.’
How to take part
As one of the UK’s biggest employers, we are committed to putting equality and diversity at the heart of our business.
If you’d like your unit to be included in the postbox tour, contact the LGBT steering group on Lgbt&friends@royalmail.com.
You will need permission from your unit manager and a volunteer must be available to receive the delivery of the postbox, ensure it is set up in a designated safe place, and arrange for it to be transported to its next destination.
