High Capacity Trolleys were introduced to help us deliver more packets. With the help of interactive 3D guides, postmen and women are being trained in HCT use.

Compact Sequence Sorter (CSS) training supports the modernisation of our business with operator events each week as the new walk sequencing machines are introduced.

Compliance e-Learning Modules support our legal/regulatory obligations by providing e-Learning training that ensures colleagues fully understand the key requirements of competition law and how it relates to us.

Manual handling introduces people to safe ways to handle items in an operational environment.

Springboard is a three month development programme for frontline women to enhance their skills.

Springboard encourages positive recognition and self-belief as well as helping some participants to consider their career options and further development.

Hundreds of frontline women have attended Springboard over the years and many have been encouraged to become the managers of the future.

Course information:

  • Consists of four one-day workshops over the three month period
  • Participants complete a 300+ page workbook
  • Opportunity to meet and network with other women in Royal Mail
  • Women can nominate themselves

Each workshop introduces a guest speaker who is a Senior Female Manager in Royal Mail Group.

Learn As You Go (LAYGo) is a two-week programme for aspiring or newly-appointed frontline managers in Parcelforce's depots or hubs. Entry onto the programme is through your operations manager and links closely with the depot's succession plans.  You'll learn technical and leadership skills through hands-on learning and classroom sessions.
