As Northern Ireland basks in an unexpected spell of warm weather, it’s rather fitting the Carrickfergus and Belfast teams feature as Courier’s summer destination piece. As well as pride in the job and delivering to picturesque parts of the country, the team has also experienced the same kinds of challenges that come with change. A big champion of change, particularly within the digital sphere, is chief analytics and data officer, Mark Briers. His Big Interview touches on his varied career, from defence and national security to becoming the lead scientist on the NHS Covid-19 app, and how this has led him to heading up a new team at Royal Mail. Spring 2023
In homage to International Women’s Day, a trio of experienced drivers prove that gender’s no barrier to getting the job done. At Bristol Parcelforce depot, colleagues Carrar Tyer, Elizabeth Frankcom and Lynne Humphries are the only female delivery drivers in a depot team of 100. One person who is determined to champion frontline females and unlock rewarding roles is this month’s Big Interviewee, director of corporate affairs, Jenny Hall. She chats the case for change, how we can protect the Universal Service in the long run and our environmental mission. And as always, some great prizes are up for grabs!

Winter 2022
Santa’s elves are in overdrive this time of year and so are our colleagues, as we delve into the Peak operation at Plymouth. A crew of 60 in our Customer Experience (CE) team are handling the influx of Santa Mail. The business launched Steps to Zero in time for the Summer edition of Courier with a target to be Net Zero by 2040. Read all about how we get there.
